ATPL pilot training integrated with MAPA

MAPA offers integrated ATPL Ab-initio training leading to the Commercial Pilot License.

The Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) is by far the most relevant course for future pilots.  

Right from the start of their training, trainees will be integrated into a professional environment perfectly suited to their educational and professional objectives.

This course is aimed at candidates with no previous aeronautical experience.

Under certain conditions, it may also be of interest to pilots with previous flying experience.

Admission requirements
  • Baccalauréat
  • 17 years of age
  • Sc Math, PC, SVT and ÉCO or equivalent
  • Pass the admission test
  • Medical examination reserved for pilots (Class 1 medical aptitude);
  • Open to all nationalities

ATPL training at MAPA

The theoretical part of ATPL

ATPL training at Morocco Aviation Private Academy (MAPA) offers complete immersion in aviation with 10 key modules, totaling 1300 hours of theoretical training. Students explore a variety of areas such as air travel regulations, navigation, flight mechanics and meteorology, ensuring comprehensive preparation for a career as an airline pilot.

Practical part of ATPL training

1. PPL phase (Private Pilot's License)

This phase is devoted to learning the basics of piloting: maneuvering on the ground and in flight, applying normal and emergency procedures, and navigating with the help of external visual cues.

Total 42 hours

  • flights on DA40 (single-engine aircraft).
  • 21h double command piloting (with instructor) ;
  • 11h double command navigation;
  • 10h solo flying (alone on board).

2 CPL phase (Commercial Pilot License)

This phase of training focuses on perfecting the application of procedures, managing threats and errors, and decision-making, while integrating the commercial aspects of flight, such as punctuality and safety. It results in the MEP qualification, which teaches how to manage failures and asymmetries on multi-engine aircraft

Total 112 hours

  • 10 hours on Alsim ALX-63 (simulator).
  • 79 hours on DA40 (single-engine aircraft).
  • 23 hours on DA42 (twin-engine aircraft).

3. IR phase (Instrument Rating)

The aim of IR training is to enable pilots to fly day and night in IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) and IMC (Instrument Meteorological Conditions) conditions.

Total 46 hours

  • 32 hours on simulator
  • 12 hours on DA42 (twin-engine aircraft).
